My Birth Story

November 10, 2009 --

Mommy and Daddy kept saying I'd be a surprise in every way possible. I held true to that statement.

After two days of easy, early labor Mommy experienced 36 hours of relatively no labor activity at all. She visited her chiropractor who did acupuncture and the next morning visited the midwife for a non-stress test to make sure I was doing okay, now that I was past my due date. I passed with flying colors! The midwife did a cervical check upon Mommy's request to see what progress had been made towards my birth and found out she was already 4cm dilated. The midwife warned her she might be crampy following the exam.

I was born an hour and a half later. Mommy never made it out of the house and I was born at home at 11:11am on November 10, 2009. The paramedics made it only a few minutes before I was born and Daddy arrived a few minutes after that. I certainly held true to the "surprise" factor.

Happy BIRTHday!
